Crowns and bridges are the most effective treatment for missing teeth or for teeth that are fractured, decayed, or severely discolored.
The gaps left by missing teeth can cause the remaining ones to shift or rotate unnaturally into the empty spaces, which can cause bad bites, gum disease or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Bridges will prevent all of this by filling that empty space with a replacement tooth, or “pontic.” The pontics will be anchored to your natural teeth or to the crowns that cover “abutments,” or implants (if needed). Bridges vary per individual and the location of the missing teeth, but we guarantee the best combination of function, look and cost. Our goal is to keep your smile fully stocked with pearly whites.
Crowns typically cover (“cap”) damaged teeth to restore its shape, appearance or alignment. We use only the highest-quality and best-looking material to make sure your crown will match the color of your surrounding teeth. An added benefit to crowns is that they are permanent fixtures. You don’t have to take them out and clean them daily like dentures; just brush and maintain them as you would your natural teeth.
Both bridges and crowns will utilize your existing teeth as anchors. Our dentist can typically complete these procedures within two visits.
